About me
Kristin Tessman, the business planning lead for NewzOps, brings legal, fundraising, management and program development experience. Tessman most recently served as Deputy Director of Montana Free Press. She worked closely with the executive director and board of directors to grow MTFP as the leading nonprofit newsroom in Montana. Her responsibilities ranged from donor and partner management (fund development, framing of key approaches, high-quality relationship building, communication) to administration (finance, reporting, facilities), and human capital (HR/recruiting, mentoring, career development). Before joining MTFP, Tessman was the ED of American Jobs for America’s Youth Montana, a cradle-to-career workforce development program. She holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia.
