Janine Warner is the co-founder of SembraMedia, a nonprofit dedicated to helping digital media leaders build more sustainable and independent news organizations in Latin America, Spain and the U.S. Hispanic Market.

She began her career as a reporter and editor in Northern California, served as Director of New Media for The Miami Herald at the turn of the last century, and ran her own digital innovation consulting firm for more than a decade before winning an ICFJ Knight Fellowship in 2016. She is fluent in English and Spanish, and conversational in Portuguese.
