About me
Ashley Woods Branch is the executive director of the Fund for Equity in Local News and the program manager for Transformation Tech. She's worked with the Google News Initiative, LION Publishers, The Lenfest Institute and the Center for Cooperative Media on consulting and programs to support the independent news ecosystem. Ashley was founder and CEO of the Detour Detroit newsletter, a visiting Nieman Fellow at Harvard University and a Marshall Memorial Fellow. Before becoming a news founder, she led digital and audience strategy for the Detroit Free Press.
