About me
Amanda Zamora is founder and principal of Agencia Media, a consultancy that partners with organizations to drive narrative change and civic engagement, especially with and for communities of color. She has more than two decades of experience as a journalist, storyteller, editor, and disruptor in the news industry, most recently as co-founder and publisher of The 19th, a national nonprofit newsroom reporting on gender, politics, and policy. In 2021, she helped draft policy recommendations to combat mis- and disinformation as a member of the Aspen Institute's Commission on Information Disorder. She is a proud board member of the American Press Institute and lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband and three dogs.
